Meliora Wellness & Harmony
Chesapeake, VA Full Time
POSTED ON 4/14/2026

ABOUT MELIORA

Meliora Wellness & Harmony, based in Chesapeake, VA, is a counseling practice rooted in the philosophy of “Meliora,” a Latin term meaning “better.” Our approach to emotional healing is centered on intentional communication, meaningful collaboration, and genuine compassion. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment for both our clients and our team members. Joining Meliora Wellness & Harmony means becoming part of a dedicated team focused on facilitating growth, healing, and positive change in the lives of others.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chesapeake, VA, for Licensed Therapists (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) and Residents in Counseling. Team members will provide therapeutic services to clients, including diagnostic evaluations, individual and group therapy sessions, and treatment planning. Collaboration with other team members and the coordination of care with external providers will also be important aspects of this role. Additionally, maintaining detailed, accurate client records and actively participating in team meetings, clinical supervision, and professional development activities are fundamental responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, or equivalent. We are especially seeking candidates early in their residency, eligible to begin Board approved residency, or those committed to building and growing with the practice over time.  We are also seeking Licensed clinicians with experience providing supervision.

  • Active licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW, or completed requirements to serve as a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia
  • Knowledge in conducting diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and providing individual and group therapy
  • Experience in evidence-based therapy modalities is a plus
  • Compassionate, client-focused approach to therapeutic care

REQUIRED STANDARDS FOR ALL CLINICIANS

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to maintain organized, accurate, and confidential client records in alignment with clinical and legal standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth, including active participation in supervision, training, and ongoing learning
  • Consistently show up with a positive, professional, and solution-focused attitude
  • Take ownership of personal and professional growth, including independently seeking knowledge beyond what is provided
  • Demonstrate initiative and self-direction rather than relying solely on step-by-step guidance
  • Actively engage in building and maintaining a consistent caseload with intention and follow-through
  • Communicate directly, respectfully, and professionally with clients, colleagues, and leadership
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Remain open to feedback and consistently apply it to clinical work and professional development
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, respect, and shared responsibility for team success
  • Present themselves in a professional and appropriate manner. While formal or designer attire is not expected, clinicians are expected to show up in a way that reflects professionalism, intention, and respect for the clients and community we serve

THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT FIT IF:

  • You are looking for a role where growth is fully directed rather than self-driven
  • You prefer to wait for instructions instead of taking initiative
  • You are not interested in building your caseload or being actively engaged in your professional development
  • You struggle with direct communication, feedback, or accountability
  • You are nearing the end of your residency and are seeking a short-term transition role
  • You are looking for a position without a clear commitment to growth, consistency, and contribution

COMPENSATION

  • Clinician I: $30–$32 per session
  • Clinician II: $33–$35 per session
  • Additional compensation: 30% of collected reimbursement for non-standard services
