Patient Care Coordinator - Naples, Florida

Meliora Healthcare is currently seeking a Patient Care Coordinator who will provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by greeting patients and families as they are walking through the door, scheduling appointments, importing vital information while multitasking and processing patient information.
The Position
Meliora Healthcare is looking for motivated individuals who/to:
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments to ensure patient needs are met.
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately.
- Obtain necessary authorizations and referrals for patient appointments and procedures.
- Collect co-payments and provide financial counseling to patients as needed.
- Follow up with patients regarding outstanding balances and past-due accounts.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patientcare.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or healthcare-related education preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer service or healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record software.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing codes is preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Physical Requirements:
- The Patient Care Coordinator will primarily work in an office setting and may occasionally need to work in clinical areas.
- This position requires sitting for extended periods of time and using a computer and phone for the majority of the workday.
- Able to lift, push, and pull light to moderate loads of approximately 35 lbs.
