Melick & Porter, a prominent insurance defense litigation firm, seeks a knowledgeable Civil Litigation Attorney for its Boston office. The Associate will work alongside a team of collegial litigators led by nationally acclaimed partners. Candidates will gain hands-on experience defending a wide range of complex litigation disputes. We are looking for someone with a Massachusetts license who has 3 to 5 years of litigation experience. Prior courtroom experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery motions, and settlement agreements.
• Attend and conduct depositions, actively participating in case development.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while maintaining strong communication with all parties involved.
• Prepare for and attend court appearances by organizing case files and gathering necessary evidence.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide support during trials.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to tort law.
• Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.
• 3-5 years of litigation experience.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
