Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their experience, including product demos and answering questions about merchandise
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Maintain organized displays and stock shelves
- Upsell related products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Conduct basic retail math for transactions, refunds, and inventory counts to ensure accuracy
- Support stocking efforts by organizing inventory, replenishing shelves, and managing stock levels efficiently
Requirements
- Prior experience is preferred; not required, we will train you
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customer needs
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product presentation best practices
