Server Assistant
Melfi’s is a lively, clubby fine-dining Italian restaurant on Upper King Street, from the team behind Leon’s Oyster Shop and Little Jack’s Tavern—both nationally recognized by Bon Appétit and Southern Living as among the Best New Restaurants in America and the South. Just months after opening, Melfi’s was named Best Pizza in Charleston by Eater and continues to earn regional acclaim.
We are currently seeking a Server Assistant to join our team.
Our menu highlights seasonal Italian cuisine, house-made pastas, thoughtfully composed small plates, and Roman-style thin-crust pizza. Our dining room balances polished, detail-driven service with a warm, energetic atmosphere.

Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a strong plus
- Understanding of basic fine dining steps of service (table maintenance, coursing, silent service, proper clearing techniques)
- Ability to carry multiple plates, handle glassware properly, and maintain a clean and organized station
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn food.
- Ability to remain composed and detail-focused in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and professionalism in both appearance and demeanor
