Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential homes and light commercial buildings.
Diagnose issues, perform system tuning, and ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Install and service standard HVAC equipment such as furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, boilers, ductwork, and thermostats.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals; verify system compatibility and code compliance.
Provide accurate estimates for service work and parts, document all activities, and maintain detailed service records.
Ensure all work sites are clean, safe, and compliant with local codes and safety regulations.
Adhere to manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements; perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
Communicate clearly with clients about system function, recommended upgrades, and energy-saving options.
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory; request parts as needed and manage supply costs.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and project managers to complete jobs on time and within budget.

We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to install, service, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and light commercial clients. Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, transformers, boilers, ductwork, and thermostats.
Perform system diagnostics, identify malfunctions, and implement effective solutions with minimal disruption to customers.
Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as filter changes, coil cleaning, refrigerant checks, and airflow optimizations.
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
Verify systems function properly by testing and balancing airflows, voltages, pressures, and temperatures.
Replace or repair faulty components (compressors, motors, capacitors, coils, valves, sensors) using proper tools and safety procedures.
Provide accurate estimates for repairs and recommended maintenance plans; upsell when appropriate.
Maintain detailed service reports, work orders, and documentation of parts used, hours worked, and customer recommendations.
Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company policies; adhere to best practices for indoor air quality.
Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, timelines, and expected outcomes.
Collaborate with team members and help train junior technicians or apprentices as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or equivalent, with hands-on diagnostic and repair skills.
Knowledge of heating and cooling systems, including electrical controls, refrigerant systems, ductwork, and ventilation.
Proficiency with system diagnostics, refrigerant charging, airflow measurements, pressure testing, and leak detection.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specs.
Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and refrigerant regulations (e.g., EPA Section 608 certification preferred).
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record; ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required.
Basic computer skills for electronic controls, smart thermostats, and service platforms.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks: stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Regularly lift and carry heavy equipment and parts (up to 50-75 pounds, with assistance as needed).
Push, pull, and maneuver HVAC units, ductwork, and materials.
Work outdoors in various weather conditions and on elevated surfaces.
Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting; good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and hearing protection as required.
Education and Certification
