What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Technician position at Melbourne Flight Training?
Duties:
- Prioritize safety above all.
- Support the Flight Operations Manager and assist with the execution of all company directives.
- Perform Line Service duties as necessary. Including but not limited to the following:
- Performing FOD checks periodically throughout the day
- Detailing Aircraft in our Fleet. Will provide training if no experience.
- Towing and securing aircraft to the line or hangars, as required. Will provide training.
- Performing nightly close duties which entail verifying aircraft in fleet are secured and ready for flight the next day.
- Take trash out when Janitorial service is not scheduled.
- Prepare tie down rope
- Refill quarts of oil to be available for dispatch.
- Assist with golf cart shuttles for students and instructor pilots.
- Assist Dispatch team with answering phone calls and answering questions. Exemplifying our Core Values of Owning It, Valued Relationships, Passion for Knowledge, Ready for Take Off, and Exceeding Expectations.
- Assist with handy work around the school from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for extended amounts of time.
- Ability to work outside for extended periods.
- In Person position
- Possess a can-do attitude and self-starter mentality.
- Organized Individual
Note: Previous experience as a Line Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
