Job Summary:
To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for both our residents and our employees. Keep up with the cleaning demands of residents' apartments and common areas. This position also includes been in the laundry as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for keeping apartments/facility clean within set guidelines.
- Prepare vacant apartments for use.
- Pick up solid linen from designated areas several times daily and process into clean; which includes washing, drying and folding. Deliver clean linen to designated areas.
- Clean restrooms daily and keep stocked with supplies.
- Able to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate resident’s needs.
- Respect the individuality, privacy and rights of residents and co-workers, including the right to file a complaint.
- Keeps all housekeeping storage facilities in a clean, organized manner.
- Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
- Wear name tag while on duty. Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
- Required to handle biohazard waste.
- Must complete all assigned Relias training on a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with everyone
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within supervision.
- High school diploma or GED required
