Overview
Barista wanted for takeout espresso based drink service! Saturday & Sunday morning REQUIRED. Great tipping potential for the right candidate. Brand new top of the line equipment to work with.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drink options with precision and care
- Operate POS systems
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing personalized recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and give correct change using cash handling best practices
- Assist with food handling and preparation tasks to ensure quality standards are met for all offerings
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards
Experience
- Prior experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is essential
- Familiarity with beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation is highly desirable
- Proven ability to handle retail sales transactions using POS system.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and proper cleaning practices in a café environment
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
