Position Overview:
Petro Facial Plastic Surgery is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role encompasses both surgical and clinical responsibilities, including assisting with procedures such as lasers, injectables, and patient consultations. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of nursing experience, an active RN license, and a passion for aesthetics and patient care. Experience with accreditation processes and plastic surgery is preferred. 

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Patient Support

• Provide hands-on assistance during in-office procedures, including lasers, injectables, and other aesthetic treatments.
• Accurately document notes during consultations and procedures, ensuring comprehensive and compliant patient records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care, addressing any questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Surgical Support

• Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Assist the surgeon and anesthesia team during procedures, anticipating needs and maintaining workflow efficiency.
• Monitor patient vitals and responses during and after surgical procedures, documenting progress and outcomes.

Accreditation & Compliance

• Support the practice in maintaining compliance with AAAHC standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in accreditation activities, including audits, staff training, and policy implementation.
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation in patient charts and compliance records.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the team members to ensure smooth clinical and surgical operations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in training and mentoring new nursing staff as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama (required).
• BSN preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, or perioperative care (preferred).
• Familiarity with accreditation processes (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of clinical and surgical protocols, patient safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in note-taking and EMR systems for accurate documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with patients.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods during clinical and surgical procedures.
• Adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure medical environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, PTO.
