Melancholy Wine & Cocktail Lounge is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Manager to help us grow our presence and tell our story.
Located in the heart of the Post District in downtown Salt Lake City, Melancholy is an elevated wine and cocktail lounge known for craft cocktails, natural and biodynamic wines, and a vibrant calendar of community events — from vinyl DJ nights and tarot classes to a beloved book club and a dog-friendly patio. We're a gathering place with personality, and our social media should reflect that.
We're looking for someone who can step in, own our social media presence, and help take Melancholy to the next level. In addition to the Melancholy account, the right candidate will also have the opportunity to manage additional projects — making this a great long-term partnership with room to grow.
What You'll Do:
→ Develop and execute a content strategy that captures Melancholy's elevated, moody aesthetic
→ Create and schedule posts, reels, and stories across Instagram
→ Manage community engagement — responding to comments, DMs, and tags
→ Collaborate with our team on upcoming events, seasonal menus, and promotions
→ Track performance and bring ideas to continuously improve reach and engagement
→ Manage additional brand accounts as the partnership grows
What We're Looking For:
→ Proven experience managing and growing Instagram accounts
→ A strong eye for elevated, lifestyle-driven visual storytelling
→ Ability to develop and maintain a distinct brand voice
→ Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines
→ Experience managing multiple accounts across different tones is a plus
→ Familiarity with SLC's food, drink, and nightlife scene is a bonus
This is a freelance/contract position. Compensation and scope are flexible and will be discussed with the right candidate.
