Custodian - Fulltime 2nd Shift - Kansas City

We’re looking for a Full-Time Custodian to provide custodial services for our Distribution Center.

This position is located in Kansas City, Missouri and is a Non-Smoking Campus

2nd shift – Mon-Thurs 2:00 pm - 12:30 am (Required OT at Peak Times twice per month to include Friday and Saturday, same times)

Responsibilities:

• Vacuums carpeted floors and floor mats
• Cleans cement floors by using an industrial floor scrubbing machine
• Sweeps, mops and dusts all areas of the building including shipping, manufacturing and warehouse areas.
• Ensures that all trash is removed from the building and deposits it into the receptacle.
• Cleans all restrooms by sweeping & mopping floors, disinfecting the restrooms, (i.e., wiping & washing urinals, toilets, sinks, stalls, walls, floors, mirrors, etc.) with disinfectant.
• Cleans break room by sweeping floors, disinfecting the lunchroom: by wiping & washing tables, chairs, counters, floors, walls, windows, etc.
• Ensures all refuse is removed from the grounds around the building by sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, and emptying garbage cans and ash buckets.
• Stocks break room with supplies and prepares coffee and hot chocolate machines for use.
• Cleans windows inside and outside of the facility by using scissor lift or man lift.
• Cleans hard to reach areas overhead and under the equipment including racks and windows.
• Cleans offices including desks, chairs, carpet and chair mats.
• Cleans lobby area including the mezzanine and observatory windows.
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Walking, stretching, and lifting for the duration of the shift
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy
