The Corporate Processing Manager will be given short-term assignments at store locations within a given region to help fill in and assist the retail or processing operations of the assigned store. They will have the same roles and responsibilities as the Manager of the store while they are on assignment. This role includes sustaining and encouraging a Christ-centered environment, developing and training team members while they are helping fill in needs at the stores, register operations, customer service, store appearance, displays, donation processing and receiving, and employee interactions, as outlined in the essential functions of the job and in compliance with company policies, procedures and the mission statement.

Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
The Corporate Processing Manager will be expected to have the same role and responsibilities as the Processing Manager while on assignment and as necessary. The essential functions of the Manager are as follows.
1. Lead by being an example of Christ to all staff, donors, and customers.
2. Travel from store location to store on a regular basis as directed by the Director of Operations.
3. Lead and equip team in the retail operations of the store, including the handling of cash and credit card payments, refunds, and all functions of the POS system in order to ensure the accuracy and security of all
transactions.
4. To perform any of the required job duties within the processing team. This includes all requirements related
to accepting donations, presorting and pricing merchandise.
5. Complete, with accuracy, all financial reporting and bank deposits, to ensure truthful reporting, accurate store funds and recording of daily sales and donations.
6. Review Cyfe Dashboard daily to understand and communicate targets to the team.
7. Record all distribution truck stops in ThriftTrac.
8. Oversee all distribution between all locations.
9. Effectively and efficiently creates the bale and truck driver schedules.
10. Lead and train all departments in a Christ like manner.
11. Must fulfill the required hours and required scheduled shifts unless otherwise approved by the Director of Operations.
12. Must approve timecards by 10:00 AM on Payroll Mondays.
13. Payroll Mondays should also be the days when managers create schedules two weeks out, unless otherwise discussed with the Director.
14. Complete with accuracy and a high level of organization all administrative needs of the stores including schedules, coaching documentation, performance logs and any other necessary documentation that is needed for the operation of the department.
15. Accurately keep up with and fill out labor worksheets every Monday and on an as needed basis.
16. Establish and maintain customer service standards in order to ensure compliance with the company mission statement and to provide a pleasant experience for each customer and donors
17. Responsible for the training of new employees in order to ensure the employees have all essential training needed to be successful in their position.
18. Work with store staff, to maintain the physical appearance of the store, including, but not limited to ordering and maintaining needed janitorial and restroom supplies, removing safety hazards, picking up store merchandise and restoring to proper place, cleaning parking lot, sidewalks, windows and doors, store floors, restrooms and other public areas, to ensure the safety and health of customers and employees.
19. Manage the continual set up and change of store displays in order to provide a pleasant shopping environment and to entice customers to shop new areas or items within the store.
20. All opening and closing procedures of the store should be performed in compliance to the company operations procedures.
21. Communicate all events related to customer service issues or problems, employee issues or accidents, and general store operations to the Director of Operations, in order to ensure all issues are handled properly and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
22. Provide input and suggestions to the Director regarding any and all opportunities to increase wholesale sales and donations into the Mel Trotter Mission Thrift Stores pipeline.
23. Communicate regularly with the Director of Operations to ensure all department issues, praises, employee relations, etc. are addressed.
24. Attend, as requested, training events provided by the company and all manager meetings as scheduled by the Director of Operations and Team Services Department.
25. Work with and effectively communicate with the department Manager, customers, employees and donors on a daily basis in order to keep a positive flow of information and foster unity among all involved.
26. All other related responsibilities as requested by the Director of Operations.

12. Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel (spreadsheets).
13. Email communications (including attachments).
14. Ability to operate general office machines, copier, fax, printers, scanners.
15. Ability to read and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
16. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
17. Ability to operate a cash register and credit card machine.

PLANNING/ORGANIZING
1. Must be detail-oriented and have solid organizational skills.
2. Must be able to prioritize the needs of the store in an effective and efficient manner according to the standards set by the Director of Operations.
3. Must possess a demonstrable level of skill and proficiency in planning so as to meet
established goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required. Two to three years experience in retail or related experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license

Moderate physical activity. Depending on location, this position may require frequent strenuous activity. Able to lift at least 50 pounds. Use hands to lift, sort, clean, organize throughout a standard work day. Depending on location, this position may work in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure throughout the workday. Will have to wear a name badge.

VISION REQUIREMENTS
1. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)

4. Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).

6. Ability to adjust focus (adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS REQUIREMENTS
Full time, Monday through Saturday, 43 hours per week. Some closing shifts are required as dictated by the needs of the stores. Two (2) shifts a month must be a weekend closing shift as dictated by the needs of the stores.. Saturday shifts can’t be half days.
In order to effectively process payroll, department managers must work the opening shift on Payroll Monday, unless otherwise approved by the Director of Operations.
Attendance at specific meetings, off-site events or training, as required. Some Sundays may be requested to work on a voluntary basis.

Cash Handling Policy
Cash drawer discrepancies over or under by $10.00 or more will lead to an automatic Coaching Opportunity or possible termination if necessary.

This position is a traveling position and will require the ability to change store locations as the organizational needs dictate.
