Dog Daycare Attendant

Join our small team of Dog Daycare Attendants, where your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to their well-being will shine! In this energetic role, you will be one of the primary caregivers and supervisor for dogs on our 3 acre property. Your positive attitude and animal handling skills will ensure every pup enjoys a safe, fun-filled day while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of dog breeds, promote healthy socialization, and contribute to the happiness of our furry clients.

Duties

• Supervise and engage dogs during playtime, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all pets
• Assist with dog training exercises to promote good behavior and social skills
• Handle dogs using proper restraint techniques to maintain safety during interactions and activities
• Monitor dog behavior closely, identifying signs of stress or discomfort and responding appropriately
• Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including kennels, play area’s and equipment to uphold hygiene standards

Qualifications

• Prior experience with animal handling, pet care, or kennel work is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of dog behavior
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or pet equipment
• Passion for animals and a proactive approach to their health and happiness

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
