English Enrichment Teacher (Grades 4–12)
W2 Part-Time with Pathway to Full-Time
What We're Looking For
MEK Review is seeking passionate and driven educators to join our team as English Enrichment Teachers. This role involves teaching English Language Arts to students in grades 4–12, including preparation for high school admissions exams, the SAT, and ACT.
We’re looking for candidates who are confident teaching in small group and one-on-one settings.
Please note: This is not an ESL/ELL position.

Responsibilities
- Learn and implement MEK’s curriculum standards.
- Develop MEK material to be utilized in classroom sessions.
- Deliver engaging lessons that build reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Prepare students for academic success and standardized tests.
- Align with MEK’s teaching methods and syllabus, as well as Common Core standards.
- Create dynamic learning experiences using MEK’s teaching platforms.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, or a related field
- 1 years of teaching or tutoring experience preferred (especially in test prep)
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Schedule & Compensation
- Regular Hours:
- Tuesday-Friday: 1:00 PM – 8:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Summer Hours:
- Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:30AM - 6:30PM
- Starting Rate: $30/hour (base rate after orientation)
- Orientation Compensation: Paid separately

Work Location: On-site at either our Englewood Cliffs or Closter location
