Duties
- Assist with assembly line operations, including mechanical assembly and the use of hand tools and power tools to build components accurately.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials within the facility.
- Measure parts and materials using precision measuring instruments to ensure specifications are met.
- Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documents to support production tasks effectively.
- Perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, to transport raw materials and finished products.
- Support process improvement initiatives by adhering to lean manufacturing principles and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the manufacturing environment, following safety standards at all times.
Experience
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly desirable, especially in roles involving assembly line work or mechanical tasks.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, production documents, and using measuring instruments is essential.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and warehouse equipment will set you up for success.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including lean manufacturing practices and safety protocol adherence.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with mechanical assembly is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage manual handling tasks efficiently.
