Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently to provide a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, electrical, mechanical, and residential painting, along with supervisory experience and excellent customer service skills.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical wiring, mechanical equipment, and structural components.
- Operate specialized tools including schematics, ohmmeters, and CMMS software for maintenance tracking and diagnostics.
- Perform residential painting and welding tasks as needed to maintain property aesthetics and safety standards.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs to ensure quality work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS or other documentation tools.
- Assist with facilities management tasks such as landscaping, painting, or small carpentry projects.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or emergencies related to hotel facilities to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or residential property upkeep.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and operate diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting wiring issues and understanding programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Welding skills and residential painting experience are highly desirable.
- Supervising experience in a maintenance or facilities setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination and customer service.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with leadership qualities.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards and safety regulations related to facilities maintenance.
