Entry Level / Junior Automotive Technician

Meineke Mount Kisco is the best place to develop your automotive career. Meineke’s are full service shops that handle just about every type of auto repair. 

We handle check engine lights, timing belts, electrical issues, fuel systems, cooling, a/c, fluids, brakes, welding, etc. We can expose you to more types of repairs than a dealer or a tire shop. Since we are NOT a dealer, we see all brands of cars, this means you will see all brands of cars. We have a small staff. We need you to develop and we want you to grow with us. This means your development is a priority. We will be teaching you new skills. 

You will also get exposed to the business side of things. You’ll learn about pricing, strategy, customer behavior, etc.

This can be a full or part time role, minimum 2.5 days per week. Some Saturdays are required.

This can be a year round or a seasonal role, with more work available during the Summer.

Applicants must meet one of these 3 requirements:

• Have been enrolled in an automotive trade school within the last 3 years, OR

• Have professional work experience as an auto tech within the last 4 years OR

• Substantial experience working with other mechanical equipment such as bicycles, lawn mowers, hvac, etc.

Other Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Ability to commute to Mount Kisco, NY (within 25 minutes)

• Very mechanically inclined

• Comfortable with computers

• Good communication skills

• A passion for mechanical things

Would Be Nice To Have the following:

• NY State Inspection Certificate

• Welding skills

Our goal is to find someone who will grow with us, from entry level to seasoned technician.

In addition to auto repair, you will eventually participate in other shop activities including:

• Writing repair orders and estimates

• Customer check in and check out

• Inventory

• Shop clean up

Compensation:

Starting wages will reflect experience. 

Wage increases for entry level technicians will follow a predefined path based on completion of certain skill-based milestones. This means, as your experience deepens and you become more productive, your value to us increases and you will be rewarded accordingly.
