Godspeed Auto Group is hiring experienced Automotive Store Managers and General Managers for our Meineke Car Care locations throughout Charlotte and the surrounding areas.

We are not looking for someone to simply open the doors, answer phones, and maintain a schedule.

We are looking for operators.

We want managers who know how to sell automotive repair, lead a team, manage technicians, control gross profit, maintain workflow, take care of customers, and produce results.

PAY: $45,000–$100,000 PER YEAR

Compensation is based on experience, position, location, and performance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As Store Manager, you are responsible for the overall performance of your location.

Your responsibilities include:

• Driving profitable sales
• Managing gross profit
• Building and presenting repair estimates
• Following up on declined and unsold work
• Leading technicians and service advisors
• Managing daily shop workflow
• Keeping technicians productive
• Monitoring repair quality and minimizing comebacks
• Hiring, training, coaching, and developing employees
• Maintaining appropriate staffing
• Handling customer concerns professionally
• Controlling parts and labor costs
• Maintaining inventory and shop organization
• Monitoring sales and key performance indicators
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional facility
• Following and enforcing company processes and procedures

You should know what is happening at your counter, in your bays, and in your numbers.

YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SELL

Professional automotive sales is a major part of this position.

Our managers are expected to identify legitimate opportunities, communicate recommendations clearly, build value, and give customers the information they need to make informed decisions about their vehicles.

You should be comfortable:

• Selling maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Presenting large repair estimates
• Reviewing digital vehicle inspections
• Explaining technician recommendations
• Following up on unsold estimates
• Calling previous customers
• Building repeat business
• Increasing average repair order
• Improving closing percentage
• Protecting gross profit while taking care of the customer

When business slows down, successful managers don't simply wait for the phone to ring.

They create opportunities.

AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

This is not an entry-level management position.

You don't have to be the technician performing every repair, but you must have enough automotive knowledge to understand what your technicians are recommending and confidently communicate those repairs to customers.

• Previous automotive shop management experience
• Strong automotive repair and service knowledge
• Proven automotive sales ability
• Experience leading technicians and service advisors
• Understanding of repair orders and estimates
• Understanding of parts, labor, and gross profit
• Ability to manage workflow and technician productivity
• Strong leadership and accountability skills
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems
• Dependable attendance and reliability
• Professional appearance and communication
• Valid driver's license
• Ability and willingness to learn and follow Godspeed Auto Group processes
