Meiko, US is a leading equipment manufacturer in the ware-washing industry and we have an exciting opportunity for a field engineer who enjoys working on ware-washing equipment on cruise ships.
Meiko, US is a leading equipment manufacturer in the ware-washing industry and we have an exciting opportunity for a field engineer who enjoys working on ware-washing equipment on cruise ships.
The position is based in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, FL area and is a remote (home based) position.
Duties include:
- Service, installation and repairs of ware-washing and sanitizing equipment
- Supervise the installation of dishwashers on both cruise ships and land-based machines
- Address service and training issues with high profile accounts - detailed customer service skills are required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1-year experience in installation, repairs, service and/or field supervision of food equipment or equivalent in Technical School education
- 2 years of plumbing, electronics, PLC usage and electrical experience preferred
- Ability to file accurate reports upon installation or service completion
- Excellent organizational skills, self motivation and time-management skills
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to follow-up in a timely and courteous manner
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including the potential for international travel MUST have a clean driving record.
- MUST have a valid passport or be willing to apply for a passport.
- Experience working on cruise ships and/or servicing commercial kitchen appliances is not required, but is a HUGE plus
