About the Role
This position will be responsible for all aspects of the Sill, Sill Skin process. This will include, operating the required machinery such as a Groover, Brake and misc hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Grooving machine as required per part order.
- Operate and maintain Brake as required per part order
- Cut and assemble Sill per print.
- Assemble product as required per order based off print and work instructions.
- Package complete product for shipping.
- Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous environment at Minnesota Elevator, Inc.
- Participate and be engaged in the company continuous improvement program.
- Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by the supervisor and coworkers.
- This role allows for flexibility with work hours but also includes the expectation of regular overtime based on operational needs.
- Attendance and punctuality are considered key responsibilities of this role.
- Execute additional tasks as needed
Experience
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Machine operator experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills
- Must be able to read blue prints

Physical Demands
Position requires approximately 5% sitting, 45% walking and 50% standing. The ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach with hands and arms on a continual basis is required. The position requires the ability to climb or balance as well as stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on an occasional basis. Also, the position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words. Position has no special vision requirements. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis is required. Jobholders are exposed to fumes or airborne particles and the risk of electrical shock on an occasional basis. Position is exposed to loud noise (e.g., metal manufacturing, powder coating, assembly, etc.)
