What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Management Specialist position at MEI & EEI MASTER?
This Role Is Not For Everyone. It Might Be For You.
For over 25 years, Mavagi Enterprises has created meaningful employment for veterans and people with disabilities through federal contracts under the AbilityOne/JWOD Program. We are a mission-driven, people-first organization and we are looking for a Case Management Specialist who moves with urgency, documents with precision, and genuinely cares about the humans whose files sit on their desk.
You notice when a case file is drifting and you close the loop before anyone has to ask. You can sit across from an employee having a hard day and make them feel seen, not processed. You know your way around JWOD/AbilityOne requirements, and you don’t flinch when an audit shows up. And when a beneficiary needs more than case management, you know how to refer them somewhere that can actually help.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
Responsibilities
Case File Management and Compliance
- Create and manage case files and disability documentation in accordance with JWOD/AbilityOne, federal, state, and county regulations
- Complete written assessments for every employee with a disability to confirm qualification under JWOD/AbilityOne and that Mavagi Enterprises is making all accommodations as necessary
- Ensure files meet requirements to pass internal and external audits without last-minute scrambling
- Maintain updated records on all Case Management platforms with accuracy and on time
- Flag documentation gaps proactively before they become audit findings
Vocational Assessment and Employee Support
- Conduct vocational assessments for current and new employees in support of ongoing eligibility and individual development
- Develop accurate, personalized analysis plans with clear goals and objectives that promote employment opportunities
- Develop and monitor individual Work Plan records and track the number of clients served
- Provide training to supervisory personnel so they can help employees with disabilities succeed on the job
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling or refer out when employees need more than case management, because we lead with humanity
Ticket-to-Work and Beneficiary Services
- Deliver employment services to beneficiaries who have assigned their Ticket-to-Work to Mavagi Enterprises
- Provide accurate information on Ticket-to-Work services and initiatives to relevant audiences
- Maintain regular contact with beneficiaries and conduct monthly and quarterly follow-up activities
- Provide ongoing, comprehensive case management, enter activities, monitor service dates, and extend or close activities as required
- Provide job development activities to assist clients in meeting their employment goals
Outreach, Recruiting, and Administration
- Submit timely and accurate status reports to the President, including clients served, services delivered, and outreach activities
- Conduct outreach and referrals to beneficiaries, family members, community partners, and service providers
- Assist in recruiting quality employees in accordance with Mavagi Enterprises’ mission
- Research complex challenges and develop the procedures, documents, and forms needed to solve them
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Work Schedule
This is a full-time salaried position based on a 40-hour work week. The role is approximately 80% in-office and 20% travel for employee visits, outreach, and community partner meetings.
Our standard schedule is:
- Monday through Thursday, 9 hours per day
- Friday, half day
As a salaried professional, the expectation is that the work gets done. Some weeks that means 40 hours. Some weeks it means more. What we are looking for is someone who manages their time with enough ownership and urgency that case files stay current and beneficiaries never fall through the cracks.
Half-day Fridays are a benefit we protect, and the way we protect them is by making sure Monday through Thursday count.
Benefits
At Mavagi Enterprises we believe that people who do meaningful work deserve to be taken care of. Here is what we offer:
Health and Wellness

- Company-paid life insurance
