GROUNDSKEEPER
12 Month Position
Position Summary: Responsible for safely maintaining and ensuring the beauty of the District grounds and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2-5 years of job-related experience preferred
- Commercial Driver’s License preferred
- Requires completion of Asbestos Awareness Program, upon hire
Essential Job Functions:
- Safely maintains and ensures the beauty of the grounds including cutting grass, controlling weeds, trimming landscaping and caring for plants, trees and shrubs.
- Hauls dirt, sand, gravel and mulch.
- Operates, repairs and maintains grounds maintenance equipment and ensures its safety.
- Moves heavy objects and equipment.
- Installs, replaces and repairs fences.
- Repairs and installs asphalt and concrete as needed.
- Prepares athletic fields for sporting events.
- Removes snow and ice from parking areas and entrances before, during and after school hours
- Serves as a substitute custodian as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
COMPENSATION FOR EXPERIENCE IS CONSIDERED, 2026-2027 Classified Salary Schedule
