Duties
- Perform a variety of massage therapies including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy tailored to individual patient needs
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and document progress accurately
- Apply pain management techniques to alleviate discomfort and improve mobility
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and recommend ongoing therapy options when necessary
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay current with industry best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii State licensure as a Massage Therapist
- Proven experience with patient service, customer service, and occupational health protocols
- Proficiency in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to assess patient needs effectively
- Prior experience in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work professionally with diverse patient populations and maintain confidentiality
