About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Litigator to join our dynamic legal team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex cases from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil litigation cases, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trials, and appeals.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as complaints, answers, motions, and briefs.
• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations related to civil disputes.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures in Texas.
• Prepare and present cases effectively in court and other legal forums.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing civil litigation.
• Strong knowledge of Texas civil procedure and substantive law.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
