What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at Megger?
The ideal candidate will possess strong sales in our industry, interpersonal and organizational skills. They should be comfortable with multitasking and be able to budget their resources in order to meet the assigned quotas for their role.
Duties:
- Inside sales activities including:
- Generating new opportunities
- Daily prospecting
- Existing customers – retain and grow revenues
- Pursue and close sales leads
- Responsible for attaining annual sales quota
- Limited overnight travel (i.e., tradeshows, customer visits)
- Portray AVO in a positive manner – professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, tact
- Work with Marketing Department:
- Reach more customers
- Messaging with prior customers
- Develop growth strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, Business/Engineering/Technical preferred
- Prefer 3 or more years of sales experience in electric power industry (electrical maintenance, electrical safety)
- 4 or more years of professional sales experience in similar industry
- Proven new business sales experience (hunter mentality)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and effective use of CRM
- Prefer working knowledge or experience with at least one of the following:
- Substations
- Circuit breakers
- Relay
- Cable
- Transformers
Additional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work independently as well as within small teams.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with ability to complete tasks on schedule.
- Strong organizational skills.

Travel Requirements:
- 2-3 business days trips, typically planned 1-2 weeks in advance
