SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the project team by managing documentation, coordinating subcontractors, and assisting with day-to-day project execution. This role ensures smooth communication between field and office teams, supports project managers and superintendents, and helps maintain compliance with schedule, budget, and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Prepare, review, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Support project scheduling efforts, including updating timelines and monitoring progress.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain organized project documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, and invoice review.
- Participate in project meetings; prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.
- Help ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control requirements, and project specifications.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch list management, as-builts, O&M manuals, and warranty documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- experience in construction, preferably with a general contractor.
- Experience on mission-critical, data center, or large-scale commercial projects is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, etc.).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work at project sites fulltime.
