What You’ll Be Doing
· Troubleshoot and repair security systems, including analog, IP, addressable, and networked platforms.
· Program and maintain sophisticated systems such as intrusion detection, IP video surveillance, access control, intercoms, environmental sensors, and integrated solutions.
· Utilize diagnostic tools to analyze systems and promptly resolve faults.
· Generate comprehensive service reports, field surveys, and daily activity logs.
· Own onsite projects, prioritizing safety, quality, and performance.
· Mentor and train junior technicians while supporting team growth.
· Provide technical assistance to clients and team members when needed.
· Make field-based decisions regarding system design, including camera placement and access device configurations.
· Ensure adherence to NFPA codes, OSHA safety standards, and MegaSystems policies.
What We Like About You
· 5 years of practical experience in the security integration field.
· Strong understanding of access control, IP video, cloud platforms, and networking.
· Experience with programming and troubleshooting various platforms (including structured wiring, fiber termination, Brivo, Eagleye, DSC, Honeywell, IP intercom, and IP cameras).
· Proficiency in alarm and low-voltage wiring, including conduit work, EMT, or PVC.
· Ability to read and interpret fire/security system drawings and design documents.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
· Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
· Physically capable of fieldwork: lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working at heights.
· Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
· Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment drug screenings.
