Salary Range: $42,000 - $47,000
POSITION SUMMARY:
· Primary responsibility for monitoring Claims inbox, phone extension, and assigning claims to specialists using NetSuite.
· Responsible for assisting in investigation, evaluation, and settlement of Under Freight claims.
· Works with Claims team to create and maintain claims methodology that encompasses sales and operations personnel, carriers, customers, factoring companies, and insurance agencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Responsible for assisting in the timely administration of freight claims, including but not limited to, monitoring department email inbox, assigning claims to Claims Manager and Specialists, and communicating with carriers and customers regarding needed documentation.
· Compiles information required to process claims, including but not limited to determine method of shipment, prepare rate confirmations, invoices, and other shipping documents.
· Assigns loads marked as claims to the next available Claims personnel.
· Responsible for obtaining and maintaining proper files and documentation to support payment of claims.
· Provides customer service, such as limited instructions on proceeding with claims or referrals to auto repair facilities or local contractors.
· Contacts insured or other involved persons to obtain necessary and/or missing information.
· Compiles information required to process claims and include necessary information in claim files.
· Prepares insurance claim forms and/or related documents, reviews for accuracy and completeness, and uploads all documents into Hero TMS and NetSuite for loads.
· Creates a notification of claim for carriers and transmits claims for payment or further investigation.
· Tracks claims through use of claims management software; generates reports and analytics to provide to leadership.
· Assists in managing own Under Freight claims list.
· Maintains and projects the Company’s professional reputation.
· Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
· Additional claims related training/experience preferred
· Minimum 6-months related logistics/3PL experience preferred
