You will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly to incidents to ensure a secure environment for all.
Duties
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety across the premises.
- Control access to buildings and restricted areas using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including indoor and outdoor areas, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Write detailed incident reports for any security-related occurrences, accidents, or breaches, ensuring clear documentation for future reference.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures, including performing first aid, CPR, AED operation, or other emergency response actions as needed.
- Perform background checks on visitors or vendors when required and manage visitor logs efficiently.
- Enforce security regulations and policies while managing conflicts through de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems, incident report writing, and access control procedures.
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
- Familiarity with physical security practices such as patrolling, manual handling, heavy lifting, and loss prevention strategies.
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security screenings when necessary.
- Strong understanding of compliance with security regulations and conflict management techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
