Plumbing Superintendent

Mega Plumbing of the Carolinas is looking for a plumbing superintendent to cover areas around the Blacksburg, VA (Galax, Wytheville, etc. ) area. Would be responsible for overseeing primarily Hotel projects as a hands-on Superintendent. Projects are expected to last approximately two years.

We are looking for full-time employees that will lead and organize the construction of multi-family/commercial plumbing systems. Includes coordinating material, manpower, inspections and installation of plumbing systems. Must be self- motivated and able to motivate others. Must have the ability to read construction drawings, coordinate with other trades and the General Contractor. Must provide insight and feedback. Also, the ability to communicate with others is imperative. Willingness to grow and be a team player is paramount. MUST be willing to travel. Must be willing to work with tools when necessary.

Plumbing Superintendent is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with general contractors, inspectors, vendors and other team members.
Responsibilities:
-Report to project managers
-Coordinate installation of plumbing systems
-Review and adjust material orders
-Provide guidance, maintenance and manage manpower
-Review installation for accuracy and quality
-Track, review and turn in man hours/pay
-Track warranty/punch list
-Schedule and attend all inspection
-Attend weekly onsite meeting
-Keep up with safety requirement on projects
-Walks job constantly to follow-up with Foreman and installers.
-Identify problems that need to be corrected.
-Follow-up on all purchase orders and/or extra work
Qualifications:
-Drivers license
-Capable of lifting 50 pounds
-Some estimating/take off knowledge
-Knowledge/willingness to learn
-Knowledge of current plumbing code desired
