What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Customer Service Associate position at MEGA LIQUOR & SMOKE?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Operate the POS system and accurately process cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
- Verify identification and follow all state and federal age-verification requirements for alcohol and tobacco sales.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and balance transactions.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Answer customer questions and assist with product locations.
- Follow company policies and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
- Assist with receiving merchandise and light inventory duties as assigned.
- Must be at lease 21 years of age and able to verify customer identification in accordance with Indiana alcohol and tobacco laws.
- Sell lottery tickets and accurately process lottery transactions in accordance with Indiana Lottery procedures.
