Technical Project Manager

We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager to translate new data-retention rules into actionable system changes across multiple applications—and then partner with system owners to drive those changes through to completion.

This is onsite role, where you’ll work at the intersection of IT, Legal, Security, and business teams to ensure compliance with retention and deletion requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Translate retention policies into system-level requirements (by data domain & record type).
• Map data flows & storage locations; identify purge/archival mechanisms; define deletion workflows and exceptions (e.g., legal hold).
• Build and maintain the delivery plan, RAID log, RACI, and provide weekly status updates.
• Partner with system owners (Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Snowflake, cloud storage, etc.) to configure, test, and deploy retention jobs(schedules, backups, logs).
• Define and coordinate UAT test cases and sign-off; document SOPs/runbooks for ongoing compliance.
• Track progress and ensure audit evidence is captured (configs, change tickets, test results).
  
  

Must-Haves

• 4 years of TPM experience (planning, RAID, dependencies, stakeholder updates).
• Proven hands-on work in data retention/archiving/deletion implementation (beyond just policy writing).
• Strong requirements skills: BPMN process mapping, user stories/AC, traceability, UAT coordination.
• Familiarity with privacy & governance frameworks (GDPR/CCPA, legal hold, data classification, defensible deletion).
• Experience working with system owners and validating technical changes (basic SQL/API skills a plus).
• Tools: Jira/Confluence.
• Strong stakeholder management and change management capabilities.

• Exposure to data governance tools: Purview, BigID, OneTrust, Collibra, Google Vault, Varonis.
• Experience with cloud lifecycle policies (AWS S3, Azure Blob).
• Salesforce Shield knowledge.
• Certifications: CBAP, PSM, PMP, IAPP (CIPP/CIPM).
  
  

Deliverables / KPIs

• System-by-system Retention Requirements Spec & data flow maps.
• Delivery plan, RAID log, RACI with clear accountabilities across Legal, Security, IT, and App Owners.
• Implemented purge/archival jobs in target systems with UAT sign-off.
• Audit-ready documentation (configs, logs, change records, SOPs).
• Coverage tracked by: % systems completed, % records under policy, and exception remediation plans.
