Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
- Perform framing, siding, drywall installation, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and flooring setup.
- Operate woodworking machines safely to fabricate custom components and fixtures.
- Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, rebar installation, roofing, stucco application, and water damage restoration tasks.
- Conduct demolition, restoration work, mold remediation, and site cleanup to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Follow all safety protocols related to power tool use, power tool safety procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and construction site regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints and construction plans with the ability to interpret schematics accurately.
- Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, CNC machinery, and wood construction materials.
- Strong background in residential carpentry including framing (metal stud framing), trim carpentry, fixture installation, and remodeling projects.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to assist in project cost assessments.
- Skilled in using woodworking machines for fabrication as well as installing siding, stucco, roofing materials, doors, windows, cabinets, flooring (tile laying), and electrical components.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, electrical experience related to fixtures or wiring projects is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks such as plastering or water damage restoration.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety standards including power tool safety practices.
- Capable of interpreting technical drawings and schematics for accurate implementation of project designs.
