What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Manager position at Mega-Bev?
Job Purpose:
Must exemplify Mega-Bev’s Mission independently. Manage day to day operations of the Mega-Bev deli including but not limited to hiring, inventory, merchandising, marketing, appearance, hygiene, safety, customer service, and sales. The availability required for this position is days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key responsibilities:
Recruit, train, develop, schedule, and motivate all deli personnel according to employment laws and company policies.
Stay up to date on, implement and oversee the deli personnel on all food safety regulations and food prep procedures. This includes but is not limited to the ability to safely slice, cut and serve delicatessen meats and cheeses as well as following all sanitation guidelines.
Maintain a clean working environment by daily cleaning of all deli equipment ie. Slicers, coolers, countertops, dishes, etc.
Plan, order, receive and organize all deli products to keep shelves fully stocked and maximize sales.
Develop, plan, organize and oversee the preparing and cooking of all in house pizzas and prepared meals to meet the needs and desires of customers.
Manage current inventory and routinely rotate foods going out of date to minimize spoilage.
Ability to plan, order and fulfill customer special requests or large pick up orders for customers.
Stay up to date on product knowledge, customer trends, seasonal products, holiday foods, etc. to ensure that our deli selection is always changing with new items the customers want while still maintaining inventory of everyday popular items.
Be mindful of all product costs, sales, post offs to ensure that we optimize buying opportunities when costs are down to keep retail prices low.

Pay/Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
