Role Summary
My client seeking a Business Applications Architect who will play a strategic leadership role in shaping the future-state enterprise application ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end solution integrity across the US business applications landscape, including architecture, integration strategy, and optimization beyond the S/4HANA program. A key focus will be driving the migration from NetSuite to SAP S/4HANA while modernizing and optimizing applications such as SAP S/4HANA 2022 Private Cloud and FIORI.
The Architect will design scalable, sustainable integrations and business processes that align with long-term digital transformation strategies within a GXP and SOX-compliant environment. The role also leads efforts in business process standardization, application architecture, and integration frameworks, ensuring alignment between business needs and system capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the holistic architect for US IT business applications, ensuring cohesive integration across systems, including SAP S/4HANA and the broader application ecosystem.
- Act as the final decision-maker for design choices, ensuring solution integrity and eliminating redundant system capabilities.
- Lead the architectural design and implementation strategy for SAP S/4HANA, SAP FIORI, and related business applications.
- Guide the NetSuite-to-SAP S/4HANA migration, including data flows, business processes, and cutover planning.
- Design integration frameworks connecting SAP with legacy and future-state systems.
- Conduct current- and future-state assessments to align with strategic IT initiatives.
- Partner with IT teams, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Oversee technical change management, configuration governance, and SDLC compliance.
- Support system documentation, post-implementation reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Provide architectural input for vendor and platform selection to align with enterprise IT strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, enterprise architecture, and ERP system integration.
- Expertise with FIORI application design and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of business process architecture and system interoperability.
- Experience leading ERP migrations, preferably from NetSuite to SAP.
- Familiarity with GXP, SOX, and ITGC processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on scalable solutions.
Travel & Location
- Occasional travel (<10%).
- Hybrid role based in Boston, MA (2–3 days per week onsite).
