As our operations expand, we're looking for a skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across departments, and supporting the continued success of our logistics and freight forwarding divisions.
Position Overview
The IT Specialist will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting company computer systems, network devices, and software tools. This role requires a hands-on, solutions-driven professional who can diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, support system upgrades, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure seamless technology performance across the organization.
You'll work closely with the IT Department as well as operations, logistics, and administrative teams to maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing systems that drive business productivity.
Key Responsibilities
System and Network Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, including Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
- Manage pfSense firewall, Cisco routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
- Set up and maintain local and remote networks, ensuring strong connectivity and security.
Hardware & Equipment Support:
- Set up, upgrade, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, barcode scanners, and other office devices.
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues and perform component-level replacements or upgrades.
- Handle soldering tasks for LED strip lights and bars as needed.
Security & Surveillance Systems:
- Configure and support DVR/NVR-based security systems and ensure stable video recording and monitoring functions.
Software & Technical Support:
- Provide day-to-day technical assistance to employees across departments.
- Support and troubleshoot internal Meest software systems and Microsoft Office Suite (2019–2024).
- Identify and resolve performance or connectivity issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network management.
- Strong understanding of Windows environments, routers, switches, and IT hardware components.
- Hands-on experience with pfSense, Cisco equipment, and network troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
