We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to join our collaborative team and manage a diverse and challenging caseload.
Position Overview:
Real Estate Law:
- Manage and advise clients on commercial and residential real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, leasing, and financing.
- Draft and review real estate-related documents, including purchase agreements, deeds, closing statements, and title documents.
- Address and resolve title and survey issues.
Estate Planning & Probate:
- Consult with clients to design, draft, and implement comprehensive estate plans, including Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Healthcare Directives.
- Provide counsel on wealth transfer strategies, gift and estate tax planning, and asset protection.
- Manage probate and trust administration matters
Business Law:
- Advise clients on business entity formation (e.g., LLCs, S-Corps, Partnerships) and corporate governance.
- Draft and negotiate various business contracts and agreements, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and buy-sell agreements.
- Provide ongoing legal counsel to small and medium-sized businesses.
Candidate Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree and active license in good standing with the Illinois Bar
- Superior legal research, writing, and verbal communication proficiencies
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong client-service orientation and a commitment to professional ethics
- Comfortable with various technologies and software.
Remuneration & Benefits Package:
The base compensation for this position is anticipated to be within the range of $72,000 to $84,000 annually. Earning potential includes commission determined by case time, and supplementary compensation for attorneys who originate or lead a case. Actual compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, educational background, and demonstrated skills.
