What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist Long Term Sub position at Meeker & Wright Special Education Cooperative?
Anticipated Contract: November 2026 - March 2027
Assignment Location: Various locations based on student need, based in Rockford, MN
Schedule: Approximately 90-day contract as assigned
Hours per Day: 8 hours
Salary: Placement per the teacher contract, based on education and experience.
Other Compensation: Mileage reimbursement based on current IRS standard business mileage rate for staff traveling on a regular basis.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the general supervision of the Special Education Supervisor, Occupational Therapists (OT) will lead the process in the development, implementation, and coordination of the school district's occupational therapy program for students with disabilities or physical/mental impairments. This will be done through development of individualized programming based on occupational performance deficits in activities of daily living, including: personal care, interaction skills, community integration, work, and communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field.
- Graduation from an accredited program of occupational therapy recognized by NBCOT.
- State Certification to practice as evidenced by current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Initial certification by National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
- Successful prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in an educational or other pediatric practice setting.
