This Portfolio Specialist is responsible for effectively communicating investment positioning and capital market perspectives (in both written and verbal form) to Edge Investment Consulting Firms and their Advisors. They will play a key role as an investment-related contact for servicing Edge relationships and will lead quarterly investment committee meetings and advisors. Additionally, the Portfolio Specialist will drive internal communications, both verbal and written, in order to train and educate internal staff around capital market insights and portfolio positioning.

Primary Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate portfolio analytics and present model portfolios in conjunction with internal/external sales team during proposal and new client acquisition process for Meeder Edge.
- Create and deliver capital market presentations and written content/thought leadership for Funds and Portfolios department.
- Provide investment-related service to Edge Investment Advisors.
- Serve as the liaison between Edge Advisors and Meeder Private Wealth through regular interactions involving capital markets and investment positioning.
- Work closely with Investment and Operations departments to resolve client needs.
- Lead Edge Investment Committee meetings by delivering capital market updates, performance reviews, and investment positioning recommendations.
- Assist with the implementation of accepted trade recommendations from Edge clientele by working with investment and operations teams.
- Analyze and monitor critical macroeconomic issues for their potential impact on clients' investment portfolios.
- Assist in new business development for Meeder Investment Management, including participation in due diligence reviews and other client meetings as requested.
- Participate in internal investment committee meetings regarding portfolio positioning and provide ad hoc research, analysis, and recommendations as requested.
- A passion for investments as an intellectual pursuit.
- In depth and current knowledge of macroeconomic environment and an understanding of how economic variables impact portfolio risk exposures.
- Strong organization and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
- Professional and accountable with high degree of ethics and integrity.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or other technical degree.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an investment-related capacity.
- Professional designation or progress toward CFA or CMT designation preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of financial markets, including asset allocation, equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
- Excellent presentation skills along with the ability to articulate complex finance and mathematical concepts in verbal and written form.
- Strong MS Office Skills, including MS Powerpoint
