Position Overview

The Senior Fund Accountant supports the day-to-day operations of our fund accounting systems. In this role, they play a key part in maintaining data integrity, supporting system users, and assisting in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems. This position bridges accounting and technology, requiring a solid understanding of fund accounting processes and financial systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with the administration and maintenance of fund accounting platforms.
• Support system users by troubleshooting issues and responding to inquiries.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and rollout of system upgrades and new implementations.
• Collaborate with accounting, IT, and Transfer Agency teams to optimize workflows and reporting processes.
• Monitor data integrations and reconcile discrepancies between systems.
• Help develop and maintain reports and tools for financial data analysis.
• Document procedures, workflows, and system configurations.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Help in the calculation of or reviewing of the daily NAVs and participate in financial reporting process, when needed.
  
  

Critical Success Factors

• Familiarity with fund accounting platforms (e.g., Mfact, FundGuard, or similar).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively across departments.

Position Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required
• 2-4 years of experience in fund accounting, financial systems, or a related support role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word)
