About BioSyft
BioSyft is building technologies to transform how animal research is performed. Our AI-powered behavioral analysis technology helps researchers collect more informative data with less effort on the researchers and animals. Combining computer vision, automated behavior classification, and deep learning models, we are standardizing animal behavior studies and setting the high-fidelity framework for building virtual control animals.
As an early-stage company, we are looking for motivated interns who want hands-on experience building real products at the intersection of biotechnology, machine learning, and software.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Frontend Developer / Frontend Engineer Intern to support the design and development of user-facing software for BioSyft’s platform. The work is still in early stages, and we’re looking for someone excited about project ownership and high agency.
You will work closely with the team to deliver a product from end-to-end: you will be part of the design, building, testing, and decisions in building out a modern and intuitive user interface that helps simplify understanding and working with complex behavioral data.
What You’ll Do
- Develop responsive UI that will be deployed to customers
- Collaborate with technical and scientific team members to understand user needs
- Carry out UI/UX research and A/B testing
- Improve data visualization and simplify complex data
- Contribute to improving usability, consistency, and overall product experience
- Participate in team discussions, feedback sessions, and sprint-based development work

What We’re Looking For
- Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with frontend libraries/frameworks such as React or similar
- Basic understanding of responsive design and frontend best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly
- Good communication and ability to work in a collaborative startup environment
- Bonus if you have experience with:
- TensorFlow/ML modelling
- Tailwind CSS or component libraries
- Scientific, healthcare, biotech, or data-heavy applications
