Tester #2: December 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026 (5 months)

Compliance Requirements:

Role Summary:
The ADA Accessibility Web Forms Tester will be responsible for testing digital forms to ensure compliance with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility standards. This role involves identifying accessibility issues, documenting defects, and providing clear remediation recommendations to improve usability for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test web forms across multiple browsers and devices for compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2 (Levels A & AA).
- Use assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, Adobe Acrobat) to test accessibility.
- Identify and report issues related to:
- Keyboard navigation and focus order
- Label associations and ARIA usage
- Color contrast and visual clarity
- Error handling in forms
- Document defects with references to WCAG success criteria, severity level, and remediation guidance.
- Provide actionable recommendations for accessibility improvements.
- Retest forms post-remediation to validate fixes and confirm no impact to business logic.
- Collaborate with DOR Taxpayer Services Division to integrate accessibility best practices into form design.
- Stay current with accessibility laws, regulations, and evolving standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience testing or guiding accessibility compliance for forms/documents.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines (e.g., 1.3.1, 3.3.1–3.3.4, 4.1.2).
- Proficiency with accessibility testing tools (Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, ANDI, Color Contrast Analyzer).
- Hands-on experience with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
- Familiarity with ADA and Section 508 regulations.
- Ability to document technical findings clearly and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA attributes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist) certification from IAAP.
- CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) certification.
- Knowledge of international accessibility standards (e.g., EN 301 549).
- Previous experience working on government compliance projects.
- Additional Information:
- This role is part-time, with two staggered positions (November & December start dates). It is an essential function in ensuring digital accessibility for Georgia taxpayers.
Skill Required / Desired
- Experience testing and or providing guidance on forms and documents to ensure compliance with ADA, 508 Regulations, and WCAG guidelines.
- Proficiency with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, ANDI, Color Contrast Analyzer).
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines, including relevant success criteria for form elements (e.g., 1.3.1, 3.3.1–3.3.4, 4.1.2).

- Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP)
- IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of legal accessibility requirements (e.g., ADA, 508 regulations, EN 301 549).
- Experience working in government compliance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to document technical findings clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to evaluate code, specifically JavaScript
- Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ARIA attributes
