What are the responsibilities and job description for the PECT/CT Technologist position at MedWorks?
We are hiring: PET/CT Technologist — Cardiac PET (Rb-82) | Tuscaloosa, AL
Help us launch a brand-new dedicated cardiac PET/CT program in West Alabama — on a New Digital state-of-the-art scanner.
ThrIV Precision Diagnostics is bringing advanced cardiac PET imaging to Tuscaloosa. We are building this program from the ground up, and we are looking for a PET/CT technologist who wants to be part of something they helped build — not just plug into someone else's workflow.
What makes this role different:
• Brand-new digital PET/CT — top-of-the-line TOF technology
• Cardiac-focused, Rb-82 myocardial perfusion imaging
• Monday–Friday, daytime hours — no call, no weekends, no holidays
• Dedicated ACLS-certified cardiovascular stress tech on-site, so you can focus on imaging
• Direct collaboration with a board-certified interventional cardiologist
• Founding team member — real input on protocols, workflow, and operations
• Competitive pay and full benefits
What we're looking for:
• ARRT(N), ARRT(CT), and/or NMTCB certified
• 2 years PET/CT or nuclear cardiology experience
• Current BLS (ACLS preferred but not required)
• Solid understanding of NRC and ALARA radiation safety
• Comfortable with IV starts and patient-centered care
• Cardiac PET / Rb-82 experience is a strong plus, but we'll train the right person
If you are a PET/CT or nuclear cardiology tech who is tired of call schedules and wants to help launch something new — we would love to talk.
