Responsibilities
Pre-Operative
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure proper setup for scheduled surgical procedures
- Maintain a sterile field and follow aseptic technique standards
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments efficiently
- Operate and monitor specialty surgical equipment, including lasers
- Support surgical teams to promote efficient workflow and patient safety
- Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and restocking
- Complete documentation and track equipment usage accurately
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential (NBSTSA or equivalent accredited organization)
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- 1 year of surgical technologist experience
- Experience in urology, gynecology, or general surgery
- Monday–Friday schedule based on surgical case volume
- Occasional early start times and extended days
- Participation in an on-call rotation as needed
- Frequent local travel between healthcare facilities
- Periodic travel outside the immediate area may be required
- Reliable transportation required
- Pay range: $63,000 - $75,000 annually
