Surgery Licensed Veterinary Technician - $10K signing bonus

We are looking for: Surgery Licensed Veterinary Technician

Compensation: this position has an initial hiring range of $33.00 to $44.00 based off skills and experience.

You'll work directly with surgeons and be expected to anticipate what they and the patient need. Your experience and clinical judgment are valuable here.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and manage anesthetic protocols
• Perform induction and intubation
• Monitor and adjust anesthesia
• Perform nerve blocks and epidurals
• Place and manage central lines
• Scrub into surgical procedures
• Suture and close surgical sites
• Participate in surgical planning and case discussions
• Develop expertise in advanced pain management
• Anticipate surgical needs
• Anticipate complications and proactively communicate with the surgeon
• Make clinical recommendations within their scope
• Manage anesthesia
• Recognize changes in patient status
• Participate in surgical debriefs
• Build relationships with specific surgeons and procedures

Who you are:

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required
• Prior veterinary experience required, previous surgery experience desired
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
