A Day in the Life
In this onsite role, you will contribute to the development, testing, and analysis of Leads, Catheters, Devices, and Instruments for cardiac pacing therapies and defibrillation solutions. The position is in the Mechanical Test and Analysis Lab.
Our Cardiac Rhythm Management Operating Unit offers devices and therapies that treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure. It is comprised of four key businesses: Cardiac Pacing Therapies, Defibrillation Solutions, Patient Management, and Procedure Innovations. Together, we will transform the lives of people with cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$46,800.00 - $70,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Follow test method instructions in preparing test samples, conducting a test, and exporting results involving leads, catheters, and cardiac devices
- Support development of new test methods, measurement techniques, and fixtures
- Organize, prepare, and present technical information in a clear, effective and skillful manner to peers, engineers and management
- Direct the activities of junior technicians to ensure project milestones are completed correctly and on schedule
- Coordinate and execute test equipment calibrations, repairs and troubleshooting
- Manage basic lab functions including materials and equipment procurement, lab layout and facilities supply
- Be responsive to changes in work direction and develop creative plans for meeting aggressive business milestones
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
- Knowledge of lead and catheter design, processing, and material property testing, including fatigue
- Hands-on experience with TA Instruments and/or Instron electromechanical fatigue test frames
- Familiarity with FDA and MDR regulations
- Knowledge to maintain the PCs running test equipment. Installing various hardware into PC enclosures and installing drivers. Backup PC hard drives via imaging software
