Role Description The Clinical Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Myrtle Beach, SC. In this position, the specialist provides clinical support for Medtronic products and therapies in hospital and clinic environments, including participation in procedures, case coverage, and device programming under physician direction. Day-to-day responsibilities include educating healthcare providers and staff on product features, indications, and best practices, while ensuring safe and effective use of Medtronic technologies. The role also involves supporting product evaluations, gathering clinical feedback, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to address clinical needs and improve patient outcomes. The Clinical Specialist maintains accurate documentation, adheres to regulatory and quality standards, and participates in ongoing training to stay current on clinical and technical developments.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas, with experience supporting procedures and working directly with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities to educate clinicians and staff on complex medical technologies and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address on-site clinical issues and provide timely product support.
  • Ability to work effectively in hospital and clinic environments, including managing multiple cases, priorities, and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, science, or related field; advanced clinical credentials (e.g., RN, RT, PA, NP, or similar) are highly beneficial.
  • Comfort with medical devices and technology, including learning new systems, following technical instructions, and maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams, with a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Willingness to adhere to Medtronic’s policies, safety standards, and quality requirements, and to participate in ongoing training and certification.
  • Prior experience in medical device, clinical support, or hospital-based roles is preferred; experience in cardiology, neurology, or other specialized areas is a plus.
