What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Line Leader position at MEDTEK?
The working Lead Assembler's day starts at 5:30 a.m. and works under the direction of the Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the production of parts by organizing and assisting team members, training and assembling parts and subassemblies by hand. (40 hour work week, some overtime.)

- Arrive prior to shift start to check in and assign team members to production areas.
- Screen, coach, train and lead team members.
- Follow work instructions and standard work processes, assemble and/or pack products for various departments.
- Inspect machines and materials at beginning of shift.
- Meet specified quantity and quality guidelines.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Reports faulty operation or defective material to supervisor.
- Conducts visual quality inspections.
- Ability to place product in containers and designated areas.
- Monitor machines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with different type of machiners.
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years production experience or related experience training new starts.
- Manual dexterity and ability to use various machines.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic problem solving or troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work with a team.
This position is starting immediately, and includes work to be performed on the production floor; as well as in the office. The is a great opportunity for an experienced production working looking to grow into a supervisory role.
