Duties
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV infusions and critical care medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and pharmacy regulations.
- Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare sterile products safely.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns related to medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management for patients.
- Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals, including ordering, restocking, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacology and patient care.
